Anthony graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a B.A. in Africana Studies, then earned his Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida where he taught a course on African Traditional Religions in Haiti.

Outside of work, Anthony is a historian who conducts research and curates exhibits for museums centered around the history of Black/African descendant people, the Caribbean/Latin America, and Hip-Hop. He enjoys collecting vinyl records and cassettes, trying new foods, cooking, learning from different cultures, shopping, laughing, and collecting the life stories of elders he encounters in different communities.
