Vince Moua

Position title: Senior Manager, Diversity Recruitment and Precollege Engagement

Vince Moua

Vince holds a B.A. in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (Concentration in Education and Health Disparities) from Stanford University.

Vince identifies as a Hmong, first-generation-American son of refugees. As an undergraduate student at Stanford, he coordinated the Stanford Hmong Outreach Program Promoting Education (SHOPPE)–a weekend college-readiness camp for Hmong students. SHOPPE scholars have be admitted to several highly selective universities across the United States.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Vince moved to South Korea where he was hired as the only public high school international college counselor serving low-income, multicultural, and/or special circumstance students with their post-secondary education aspirations. His advocacy work in Korea provided him with opportunities to engage with universities and colleges across the world. He returned to the U.S. in 2018 to serve as the Asian American and Pacific Islander Liaison and LGBTQ+ Liaison for Stanford University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission. He is excited to continue advocating for historically underrepresented students in his new role at UW–Madison!
