The cost of attending a university can be a major factor in deciding whether you will attend.
The Office of Student Financial Aid is here to help you and your family as you navigate financing your education both as a future student and as a current student. They offer a variety of programs, information sessions, and additional services to make paying to attend the University of Wisconsin–Madison as accessible and affordable as possible.
At UW–Madison, we offer both need- and merit-based aid.
In 2017, 59% of our students received financial aid, and $40.2 million in scholarships were awarded to 7,613 recipients.
