My name is Anika, and I am a junior this year from just outside of Wausau, Wisconsin! I do love school, but outside of classes I also love to read, travel, play pickleball with my friends, and try any new foods that I possibly can.

My absolute favorite Badger tradition is singing our alma mater “Varsity”. Varsity is played at every single sporting event and I am up on my feet every time without fail, singing as loud as possible and swaying with my fellow Badgers.

Looking back at my younger self deciding on UW-Madison, and to all others in a similar position, I advise you (to the best of your ability!) to trust in the unknown. Even if your path is not crystal clear right now, trust that you will find it, and more importantly, trust that you will make unforgettable memories and learn valuable lessons along the way that will make it all worth it. UW-Madison has granted me incredible opportunities that I could have never foreseen and will be forever grateful for.
