My name is Mira, and I am a junior double-majoring in political science and history, looking to attend law school after undergrad. I am originally from Eagan, Minnesota, but graduated overseas in the Middle East. Outside of school, I love to play the violin and try the restaurants and coffee shops around Madison!

My favorite Badger memory is singing “Build Me Up Buttercup” as a freshman during the W Project. I had come into Madison not really knowing anybody. Singing “Build Me Up Buttercup” was the first time I felt like I could be a part of the Badger community. This song holds a special place in my heart and my playlist, as hearing it brings back those Freshman memories.

My biggest piece of advice to a new student is to try everything at least once. Take the class or the club that you are unsure about. It might surprise you, and maybe even focus or refocus your studies in a different direction than when you started. Don’t be afraid of that change. Embrace it!
