Luis Portillo

Luis started as an admission professional in 2012, at his alma mater, Radford University, where he attained a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Spanish. He is regionally based for UW-Madison out of Northern Virginia (Leesburg). He has recruited the mid-Atlantic his entire career.

While on campus, Luis recommends you head to Memorial Union and grab a Chicken Cordon Blue from Der Rathskeller for a bite, then either sit out and enjoy the view of Lake Mendota from the terrace or take a stroll down State Street to enjoy the wonderful college town atmosphere. He also wants to make sure you make a stop at Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co. for dessert.

Outside of work, Luis’ loves to watch sports, college basketball and international soccer in particular, and listen to music from different genres.
