Liz Root

Liz is originally from rural Western New York and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance (Flute) and Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Music Performance in Flute from Kent State University. After completing her graduate studies, she worked at Kent State University as adjunct faculty and Recruitment Coordinator for the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music. She moved to Madison in 2021 and enjoys attending events that the flourishing arts community has to offer.

Outside of work, Liz enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her significant other and their two cats.
