M.J. Thurau

MJ is a proud UW-Madison alumna, graduating with a B.A. in Communication Arts. Her early career was customization and small group interpersonal skills training for corporate clients. Later she discovered a love for working in schools and thrives on the connection with students and parents, leaning on her own experience watching her daughters navigate the college process. Her experience working in a high school College and Career Center cemented a love for working with juniors and seniors. “High school students feel a lot of stress around their college plan, and I encourage them to feel confidence and joy around it, too.”

MJ loves living in Madison, and on weekends you might find her kayaking on Lake Monona, watching the sunset from the Terrace, cheering on UW sports, or relaxing in the front yard with her husband on their badger red Adirondack chairs.
