Rosie Yang

Rosie earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barnard College and Columbia University in 2019. She identifies as a first-generation, Hmong-American. *Fun fact: She was the only Hmong undergraduate throughout her four years at Barnard! She was a Special Educations Teacher for Democracy Prep Charter High School in Harlem for two years where she also co-taught Literature I, Algebra, and Biology. She spent half a decade in the big apple (NYC), but she is originally from Wisconsin and proudly calls Milwaukee home. Her inspiration has always been to work with the “next generation” and being an advisor to HS seniors has helped her confidently make the career switch from a teacher to counselor.

In her free time, she loves to play volleyball, football, fishing, camping, traveling, listening to true crime/mystery podcasts and shows, and she loves taking photos and has her own website:rosieyangphotography.mypixieset.com
